They had my granddaughter doing finger-paint in day care! I was so excited to get this for Mother’s Day! Her first painting!

I had this board from an experiment I did a few years ago when I picked up pieces of birch bark and glued them onto a board to use as a background, then never thought of a good use for it. Today I was looking through my collection of different papers and decided to paint on it with my palette knife.
Now I’m heading out for a walk in nature because nature is a healer if she doesn’t decide to just kill you.
Porn update- Still there as of this morning
It seems like the FCC has bigger fish to fry than porn on wordpress freshly pressed art tag. I tried to find the forum where I complained to wordpress before with no luck. My daughter will come over tomorrow and help me with that. Am I the only one here that looks at freshly pressed? Why don’t the more computer savvy bloggers raise hell with wordpress? I can’t take it anymore. It could damage my mental health that I finally got after so many years of mental unhealth.
I’m outta here.
Kids can see that crap!
A few months ago I complained to wordpress because some spammer in India was flooding the freshly pressed tag with non art related posts and they told me anyone can can tag art, just scroll past it. So, I know what I say doesn’t matter to them.
Why are they allowing porn on the freshly pressed art tag? Pick one answer or add your own ideas.
1 This is what they want for their daughters, to be t. and a. for perverts.
2 They like porn and want you to like it too.
3 They don’t look at freshly pressed, they just post anything.

It’s enough to keep me from reading other art blogs, but, hey, I’m getting old here and they don’t care what I think.
I hope the FCC fines you, wordpress.
A couple weeks ago I illustrated a song for Halloween and thought it was a lot of fun so I decided to do another one and this time it was even more fun! I picked Wordless Chorus because I didn’t want to illustrate lyrics. I wanted to see if I could let the music move my hand. I tried to paint with no plan in mind and be fast and spontaneous.
The part of the song I’m illustrating starts at 3.18.
I listened to it a couple times and thought it sounds uplifting and exciting. I’t’s wild and free spirited.
First I mixed some yellow and orange and waited for the fun vocals to start. Then I quickly loaded up my palette knife with yellow and went to town! Then I waited for the part of the song I like again and repeated the process with orange.
I stopped to have a look and decided it needed some pink so I mixed up more paint, turned my paper 180* and slapped in some pink while listening to the vocals.
Then I looked closer at the texture and it reminds me of the veins on a leaf. I said, I guess it’s fall leaves in the wind.
The black background makes it look dramatic but after thinking it was a leaf abstract I wanted to see it on a blue sky, so I added the blue but tried to keep from messing up the edges and smears I made with the bright colors.
The unexpected palette knife textures are fun to look at. I’m not sure how this kind of art rates in real life, I mean is it a big waste of paint, is it worth anything, but it was fun to go wild with it and I might do another illustration of a song.
There’s a funny vein in the paint. I don’t know how I did that.
I can’t tell if this expresses the song very well or not.
The only kind of doctor I’ll go to is a dentist and even good dentists ruined my bite with ill placed crowns. If I catch corona, which I probably won’t because I’m a freakin hermit, but if I did I’d rather die than go on a ventilator.
As always, feel free to opine.

Did you ever look into the abyss and get the feeling it’s looking back at you? And it wants to pull you in so deep you’ll never get out? And you can’t look away?
Step away from the edge, my friend.
I was there too, for years.. Now I’m ok. I’m not opening that can of worms, I just want to say, if I can live through all that, you can too. Keep stepping away from the edge every day in some way. Get outside and do something. Exercise or art or gardening or anything you like. You might enjoy your old age even if most of your life was messed up. Have your fun. You have it coming and it will happen if you stay alive.

We can’t see it because it’s very tiny particles but we’re inhaling it all the time, and swallowing it. It could have inactive viruses that come alive when they hit the environment. We might be exposed to viruses from light years away. Maybe we’re immune anyway because they’ve been falling on humanity for countless generations. But something else invisible could rain down from the stars that would change things so fast our heads will spin. It’s impossible to predict. How can we prepare? We can’t.
